About us
Newly Weds® Foods is a leading, privately owned global food ingredients business and has been innovating since 1932. The European division is a market leader in the manufacture of coatings, seasonings and functional ingredient systems.
Today, Newly Weds® Foods is a world leader in food ingredient technology. A network of R&D, manufacturing and service facilities around the globe allows us to serve our customers’ needs in more than 68 countries. But despite our size and scope, we’ve continued to be an independent, family-owned business answerable only to the demands of our customers. That’s why we continue to invest in infrastructure, human resources and capacity to keep pace with our customers’ needs and expectations.
We’re looking for a Customer Service Administrator to join our team and help ensure our customers receive an excellent and reliable service.
Working closely with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Sales, Production and Warehousing teams, you’ll play an important role in processing customer orders, coordinating deliveries and keeping customers informed. You’ll support customers across the UK and Europe, making sure orders and information are managed accurately and efficiently.
What you’ll be doing
Your key responsibilities will include:
Processing customer sales orders accurately, from receipt and validation through to order entry and confirmation.
Raising sales orders and maintaining accurate customer and order information.
Supporting the Customer Service team with day-to-day administration.
Organising transport for urgent customer orders when required.
Maintaining regular communication with customers and Sales teams regarding orders and deliveries.
Working closely with Supply Chain to resolve operational or delivery issues.
Logging, acknowledging and supporting the resolution of customer complaints in line with company procedures.
Producing and completing reports, including information relating to OTIF, complaints and corrective actions.
Providing accurate and timely information to Delivery, Warehousing and, where appropriate, Customs teams.
Using internal IT systems to accurately record activities, identify discrepancies and produce reports.
Responding to customer and account holder queries professionally and efficiently.
Working with customers and Production teams to manage lead times, delivery requirements and stock availability.
Building strong working relationships with colleagues across the UK, Europe and US.
Maintaining high standards of administration across telephone, email and written communication.
Providing cover and support across the wider Supply Chain team when required.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who:
Has strong customer service and communication skills.
Is organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
Has excellent attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
Is comfortable working with IT systems and producing reports.
Can interpret information and confidently identify or escalate discrepancies.
Has a proactive approach to solving problems and supporting customers.
Works well as part of a team and can build positive relationships across different departments.
Is flexible and willing to support colleagues when required.
Understands the importance of confidentiality when handling customer and business information.
Is committed to providing a right-first-time service.
Previous experience within Customer Service, Sales Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or Manufacturing would be beneficial.
Why join us?
This is a great opportunity to join a busy, collaborative team where you’ll work with different areas of the business and build valuable experience across Customer Service and Supply Chain.
You’ll receive the training and support needed to develop your knowledge of our systems, customers and processes, with opportunities to develop your skills as part of the wider team.
If you’re organised, proactive and passionate about delivering excellent customer service, we’d love to hear from you.
